Following her recent win at this year’s The Big Music Project, presented by Capital FM and the BRIT Awards, emerging female London Hip-Hop artist Aina More is proud to debut her brand new single ‘5th Seven’, which features World Music rising star Morell and new face of Nigerian Hip Hop Boogey, and is taken from her forthcoming sophomore EP For People With Short Attention Spans.
Produced by Morell, ‘5th Seven’ sees Aina More in storytelling mode as she tackles various issues from love, lust, and jealousy, to religion and youth culture, with a rather dark and twisted tale of four friends and their demons, which starts with a pretty innocent walk in the park but ends in death. Aina More takes her listener on a difficult journey, revealing that “amongst friends, so much can be beneath the smiles. If you don’t face the truth about who you are and what you feel, the truth will overcome you”.
Serving as the latest taste of what to expect from Aina More’s highly anticipated FPWSAS EP, ‘5th Seven’ comes on the back of a series of critically acclaimed records released by Aina in the last few months, including ‘Ambience’, a gripping live performance of which, won her The Big Music Project, and ‘Layback’ which led to Aina opening for Professor Green at the London leg of his ‘Growing Up In Public’ UK nationwide tour.
With The Big Music Project likening her to Lauryn Hill and Estelle, Aina More is a future Hip Hop star to be reckoned with. With a strong background in playwriting, dance, theatre, and spoken word, the London native draws influences from the likes of Fela Kuti, Kendrick Lamar and Tupac, as she brings her unapologetic approach to rapping and rhymes to the forefront. Aina More’s FPWSAS EP is out at the end of April, enjoy ‘5th Seven’ below.
